The Ray also lacks solid bass response, which shouldn’t be the case at nearly $300. For instance, it offers only two channels of audio, doesn’t support Dolby Atmos, and leaves out voice assistant features available from competing models. We like its clear audio performance and that it can be added to a full surround system with other Sonos components, but the speaker ultimately makes a few too many compromises.
